Chiropractic Adjustments
A chiropractic adjustment will make your body feel amazing. Other terminology for chiropractic adjustments are as follows: chiropractic manipulation, manual manipulation, or spinal manipulation. The adjustment refers to the manipulation of the vertebrae that has abnormal movements and are not functioning properly. A chiropractic adjustment will assist in alleviating these issues.
Webster Technique
The Webster Technique is a type of chiropractic adjustment for pregnant mothers. More specifically, it is a sacral analysis and adjustment that reduces the effects of sacral subluxation. In other words, the function of the pelvis is enhanced. This technique helps mothers with labor difficulty caused by less than optimal uterine function, malpresentation, and pelvic contraction. These are all symptoms of sacral subluxation.
Pregnancy Care
Ray of Light Chiropractic specializes in taking care of the health and unique needs of expectant mothers. Dr. Laura V. Godfrey, who is certified to care for prenatal patients by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), has earned over 200 post graduate hours specializing in prenatal and pediatric care. She has been certified in the Webster Technique since 2003, and is one of a select few practitioners on the North Shore who has held that distinction for over 14 years.
